Advanced Cardiology Program

This fully online, dual semester program offers over 200 live lectures via Zoom. The core curriculum is delivered by over 100 subject matter experts from a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to Cardiovascular Surgeons, Cardiologists, Intensivists, Interventionalists, Anesthesiologists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Radiologists, Perfusionists, Haematologists, Pharmacists, and Interprofessional Education Specialists. 

Integrated throughout our core curriculum are specialized paediatric cardiac acute care clinical skills that are grounded in evidence and industry best practices. Examples include; 15 lead electrocardiograms, chest radiography (X-rays), arterial blood gases, haemodynamics, defibrillation, cardioversion and transcutaneous pacing, chest tube and pacing wires removal, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).  For more details, browse our curriculum overview on the program website.

Registered health professionals including, but not limited to physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, perfusionists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, technologists.

Course Information

Dual semester, 33 week course, 7.5 hours per week

Live weekly sessions presented via Zoom on Fridays from 9 AM - 4:30 PM Time Zone EDT/EST, recorded for later viewing.
