Centre for Global Child Health
The Centre for Global Child Health is the dedicated hub for global child health-focused activities at SickKids. We support a number of initiatives that work towards one goal – better newborn, child, and adolescent health. Collaborative research, sustainable capacity building, evidenced-based policy development, and improved health advocacy for children and families are a few ways we’re impacting health.
We're proud to endorse the United Nations’ Every Woman, Every Child Global Strategy, and to be a part of Canada’s contribution to improving women’s and children’s health around the world. We’re consistently making a positive impact on a global level, positioning SickKids as one of the world’s top paediatric health-care institutions and Canada’s leading centre dedicated to advancing children’s health.
Welcome to the C-GCH!
Addressing global challenges in child health
The C-GCH connects researchers and health-care professionals around the world to improve the lives of children and their families in resource-poor environments. We’re advancing child health from several approaches – collaboration in ground-breaking research, sustainable capacity building through education, actively communicating results through advocacy, and promoting improved child health through worldwide networks.
Strategic objectives and vision
We’re improving the lives of children and their families in resource-poor environments through collaboration in ground-breaking research, sustainable capacity building through education, and by improving policy through advocacy and knowledge translation.
